Skogskyrkogården is considered one of the most important creations of modern architecture, and is inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
When the architects Sigurd Lewerentz and Gunnar Asplund designed the landscaping and the buildings at the beginning of the 1900s, the aim was to create something original. A cemetery lifting nature and architecture, life and death; blending it all into a seamless whole.
