Skogskyrkogården is situated in Enskede, a district in southern Stockholm.

The main entrance at Sockenvägen 492 is always open for pedestrians and cyclists. Additional pedestrian and cyclist entrances include:

  • Minneslundsvägen, accessible from the subway station.

    Please note: The following entrances are closed to cars at night:

  • Sockenvägen
  • Bogårdsvägen/Vårsolens väg
  • Bogårdsvägen/Kapellslingan
  • Gamla Tyresövägen/Vårhimmelsvägen.

Metro

The easiest way to reach Skogskyrkogården is by metro. Take the green line towards Farsta strand from T-Centralen to the Skogskyrkogården station; the journey takes approximately 15 minutes.

A replacement bus runs from   Gullmarsplan to Skogskyrkogården and stops by Nynäsvägen. Walk towards the brown sign that says “Skogskyrkogården.” The sign points left, under Nynäsvägen and onto Sockenvägen. Walk straight ahead – the metro station is on the right. Be prepared for a longer travel time than usual!

Visitors center

The Visitors Center, which includes a shop, café, and introduction room, is located in the center of Skogskyrkogården. It is approximately a 15-minute walk from the main entrance.

Circular route bus om weekends

Bus 183 operates on weekends, following a circular route that starts at the Skogskyrkogården metro station and stops at various locations within the cemetery. For the latest timetable, please visit the SL website.

Parking around Skogskyrkogården

Various providers offer parking with different prices and conditions at the following locations:

  • Near the metro station on Nynäsvägen
  • Intersection of Vårhimmelsvägen and Gamla Tyresövägen
  • Three-way intersection at Skogsfurans väg
  • Intersection of Bogårdsvägen and Kapellstigen
  • Intersection of Bogårdsvägen and Vårsolens väg.

Inside Skogskyrkogården, parking is limited but available near the chapels, Visitors Center, and Almhöjden/Memorial Grove.
